Why does DFAT need my personal information?

DFAT is collecting your personal information to manage the event that you have been invited to attend and to update you on other key developments, activities and events held by the Australian Government in-country.

What type of personal information will be collected, used or disclosed?

The personal information we will collect includes your name; company/organisation; your contact details (email address and phone number); any dietary requirements and vehicle details. This information will be collected through completion of the RSVP form. DFAT will store your personal information on its Contacts and Events application and may use it to invite you to future Australian Government events. If DFAT does not collect your personal information, we will be unable to confirm your attendance at the event. We will also not be able to update you on other key developments, activities and events held by the Australian Government.

With whom will my personal information be shared?

The information you provide in this form may be accessible by DFAT officers and officers from other Australian Government agencies with a permission to use the Contacts and Events application.
