F.A.Q.
Repairs that are covered under the Manufacturer's Warranty include all faults and defects to the machine. Events like Accidental Damage (Broken Screens, Water Damage), Loss and Theft aren't covered under the Warranty
You can choose to purchase insurance for your device which covers any Accidental Damage including damages from your device being dropped and broken screens.
Depending on which insurance policy your school has chosen, the insurance you buy through Edunet may cover Loss and Theft of your device. We recommend reading what insurance policy has been chosen by your school in our purchasing portal on the Accessories Page (After you select a device).
Edunet recommends reading the Terms and Conditions of your Home and Contents Insurance and making a decision that best suits you. Most policies will cover your device from damages and loss, but it's very important to find out how much the excess is and who repairs the device. Under Edunet's Education Insurance options the excess can be anywhere between $75 - $125 per claim and we will assist with repairs onsite at your home or at the school.
Edunet provides 3 different payment options: Credit Card, Bank Transfer and 12 Month's Interest Free through Zip.
Unfortunately Finance isn't free! But we choose Zip because we find them to be the most ethical financing company available for Education. If you don't already have a Zip account you will be charged a once off account setup fee. This fee does vary depending on the purchase value of your order, but for orders up to $2,000 the fee is $25. This Fee is charged the moment you are accepted for a Zip Account. Zip also charge a $6 monthly fee only when there is a balance on your account. Once you pay off the account this fee stops being charged. After the 12 Month interest free period standard credit card charges apply only to the remaining balance on your account. A lot of finance companies backdate interest but Zip only charge interest on what's left outstanding.
Each school has a separate login (Access Code) to access their chosen devices for their Laptop Program. If you haven't got that code, speak to your school or give Edunet a call!
Yes you can, but each other must be entered separately. The reason for this is because each device must be assigned to a student to ensure the school has record of who has which device. This also ensures we're meeting the requirements to provide Education pricing.
The first step is to take your device to the school just in case they can fix it immediately. If it can't be fixed by the school, Edunet can be contacted and we will repair your device. If your device can be repaired/replaced under the Manufacturer Warranty or Insurance we'll arrange for that to happen on your behalf! If the fault is caused by software Edunet is limited in the support we can provide because we don't own the software, this is usually provided by the School.
Lenovo's Sealed Battery Warranty upgrades the battery component of your device to a 3 year onsite service. Each laptop comes with a 1 year battery warranty as standard, If you don't purchase this uplift and you have a battery fault in year's 2+ you'll have to purchase a new battery.
Unfortunately no. Edunet doesn't hold the stock at our Head Office so if you were to come to visit us we wouldn't have a laptop to give you! Also some schools wish to take delivery of the device first to set it up for you.
Usually no. Most schools will provide your student access to everything they need to use the device in school. If you have any questions or concerns regarding software or applications for the classroom we recommend speaking to your school.
Unfortunately Edunet can't offer you a direct payment plan. Because these devices have Special Education Pricing and most of them are custom built from overseas, we have to pay for these upfront. We recommend looking at the Zip 12 Months Interest Free option should you need a payment plan or speak with your school because they may be able to offer assistance.
Please be aware the bank will pass on a Surcharge if you pay by Credit Card. If possible we recommend trying to do a Bank Transfer to avoid an extra charge.
Edunet are authorised to repair Apple MacBooks we've sold via the AppleCare+ warranty. Unfortunately if you purchased a MacBook elsewhere, or you've purchased an iPad Edunet are unable to repair the device on your behalf. Edunet and the school will attempt to assist you if there is a fault to your device, but if we can't repair your device Apple requires you to return to the nearest Apple Store for diagnosis and repair.
A very popular question! Edunet negotiates with our manufacturers to receive a bulk buy discounted price for every school in the state. This bulk buy price is then passed down to you, so we're already passing on a heavily discount price based off parents across the country purchasing a device through Edunet!
Yes - If you would like to use a different financial institution to pay for your order this can be done by selecting bank transfer as your payment option. You will then be emailed a tax invoice with our banking details to take to your finance company of choice to make payment.
