Welcome to Osteo & Co, with directors Dr Courtney Lyons (osteo) and Dr Basil Remboulis (osteo), who work alongside Dr Clare Ralph (osteo), Dr Jannah Stone (osteo) & Dr James Beninati (osteo)

OUR APPROACH

Established in January 2015, Osteo & Co offers treatment for pain and discomfort in a range of areas, including neck and back pain, joint injuries, muscle strains, sporting injuries and pregnancy related musculoskeletal pain.
We are located at our new purpose built clinic at 228 Wells Road, Chelsea Heights and inside Chelsea Heights Medical Centre on Thames Promenade.

OUR APPROACH

Each individual is unique, so osteopathic treatment will vary from person to person. When you visit our clinic, your osteopath will assess the mobility of problem areas, take a detailed case history, and form a diagnosis to work out the best treatment and management plan for your needs.

ABOUT OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare which recognises the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions.

Diagnosis and treatment is based on the philosophy that the body operates as a total functional unit with all the body systems, like your muscles, nerves and joints, working together to maintain normal function and health. By detecting imbalances within these systems we ensure we are treating the cause and not just the symptoms.

ABOUT OSTEOPATHY

Osteopaths treat more than you think. They focus on how your skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulatory system, connective tissue, and internal organs function as a whole-body unit.

OUR TEAM

We currently have five qualified osteopaths at Osteo & Co, Chelsea Heights.

DR COURTNEY LYONS(Principal Osteopath/Clinician & Director)

Courtney completed her Masters of Osteopathy at Victoria University and has lived in the bayside area for most of her life, other than a 4-year stint in England, where she danced with the Royal Ballet School London. Courtney enjoys treating patients at all stages of life, including children and pregnant women.

After having worked with many young dancers, Courtney has a keen interest in the prevention and management of all sporting injuries. Courtney also has a special interest in neck and back pain, including that of our ageing population.

Courtney has completed further courses in Dry Needling, DMA Clinical Pilates and Rocktaping. Courtney is also a member of Osteopathy Australia.

Outside of work, Courtney loves to travel the world with her husband, read, garden and spend time with her two daughters.

Due to limited availability and high demand, Courtney currently only treats paediatric patients.
Some availability is shown on online booking under the paediatric osteopathy tab, however if you cannot see a time that suits please call reception directly to book or email info@osteoandco.com

DR BASIL REMBOULIS(Principal Osteopath/Clinician & Director)

Dr Basil Remboulis (osteopath) joined the team as co-director in February 2019.

Baz is one of our senior and most experienced osteopaths. In his spare time he enjoys going to the gym, walking his dog Harvey and spending time with his family and daughters Olivia & Evelyn.

Baz has a particular interest in treating complex injuries, to enable patients to better manage their condition and decrease their pain.

Baz works Monday to Friday at our Wells Road clinic, with late night appointments available.

DR CLARE RALPH(Senior Osteopath)

Clare’s interest in injury prevention and management came after years of ankle and foot problems from basketball in her early years. Her passion for Osteopathy developed after she saw the amazing work osteopaths do after she fell (multiple times) off a snowboard while living in Canada. She came home from a year abroad and dived straight into her Osteopathy studies at RMIT.

She enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions and works closely with patients to help them achieve optimal health through movement and education.

Having recently moved to the Chelsea Heights area, Clare loves to explore the wetlands, beach and local parks with her Husband, son Parker and dog Indi.

Clare works on a Monday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday however as of February she is on maternity leave and will be returning August 2023

DR JAMES BENINATI(Associate Osteopath)

James is a passionate, caring and approachable Osteopath having graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy).

James’ initial interest in Osteopathy stemmed from his sporting background in conjunction to his desire to positively impact people’s lives.

James is a big believer and advocate in not just treating symptomatically, but also taking into consideration and appreciating the impact that lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress and activity has upon the individual.

James has undertaken further training and development in Dry Needling and Myofascial Cupping. He therefore uses an array of techniques, education, lifestyle advice and exercise prescription with an emphasis in wanting to empower his patients.

James understands the importance of building a professional relationship and listening to a patient’s story so that clear goals can be formulated and create a plan to bridge the gap from where the patient is, to where they ultimately want to get to.

Outside of work you’ll find James spending time with family and friends, playing with his puppy Ava, in the gym, listening to podcasts, reading books and ultimately just experiencing the joys that life can offer.

You can book in with James on a Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with appointments ranging from early in the morning to late in the evening!

DR JANNAH STONE(Associate Osteopath)

Jannah first discovered how much she loves helping people to improve their movement, reduce pain and injury, and enhance their wellbeing while working as a personal trainer. From there, a passion for osteopathy was born. Jannah has also worked as a sports trainer for the Elsternwick Football Club (Mens & Womens teams), giving her valuable experience in sports massage and treating a wide range of injuries.

Jannah’s osteopathic practice is typified by genuine compassion, care, and warmth. She partners closely with her patients to identify their individual situation and goals, and to work collaboratively towards positive outcomes.

When she’s not in the clinic, you can usually find Jannah on her yoga mat or spending time in her garden.
