We are excited to welcome you to the ANZASW community. To join us, please select the membership category you fit into below and complete the application form. We have a rolling membership year - your membership year starts the date you join and is valid for 12 months.
As we are an association for social workers, we can only accept applications from registered social workers, or students studying a recognised social work qualification.
Membership Payment Options
- Join and pay now with debit or credit card.
- Bulk invoices - your employer may be part of our bulk invoice scheme and pay their employees membership fees directly to ANZASW. If they are, please select 'Pay on Invoice' when you join. When you get to the payment method section of the application – there is a small arrow at the end of the line that will allow you to select this option.
- Employer to pay invoice - if your employer is to pay your invoice, please complete your work address and select as your primary address in your membership application. Then select 'Pay on Invoice' when you join. When you get to the payment method section of the application – there is a small arrow at the end of the line that will allow you to select this option.
- Discounts - if you earn under $60,000 p/a, or are a new graduate without organisational support, we offer discounts on membership fees for full members. Click here to apply for a discount if you believe you are eligible and complete the membership application using the discount code, once received.
- Payment plans - you are able to pay your invoice off over the year. Please contact us and we can set up a payment arrangement.

Full
Registered social workers with a current Annual Practising Certificate issued by the Social Workers Registration Board.
Non-practising
Non-practising registered social workers who are not required to hold an Annual Practising Certificate (i.e. those overseas or not working)
Student
Student members are those enrolled in their first recognised social work qualification (by SWRB).
Retired
Retired members are those who are aged over 65 years of age who are no longer practising social work.
