Peer Work Scholarships

Thank you for your interest in our Peer Work Scholarships program.

At this stage there is no scheduled additional Scholarship rounds. In the case that you are unable to apply for the current round but would like to be considered should future potential rounds become available, please register your interest in the form below.

Please note: This is an expression of interest form only. To be considered for a Scholarship you must submit an application. By registering your interest here, we will email you an application form when your nominated scholarship round opens.

Each round of scholarships is targeted to a specific region. Please nominate your scholarship round below, based on your location and eligibility for that round.*

To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must:

1. be 17 years or older and no longer in school, and a resident of Queensland*
2. be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a holder of a permanent residence visa, or a migrant, refugee or asylum seeker holding a temporary or bridging visa providing work and/or study rights*
3. have a lived experience of mental illness and/or suidality as a consumer, carer, family member*
4. wish to seek employment in a Peer Worker role or be employed with a mental health or suicide prevention service provider in a Peer Worker role*
5. be able to meet the attendance and study requireents to complete the Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work course - approximately 12 hour per week and 80 hour work placement*
