Recognising the achievements of volunteers and their important contribution to the social, cultural, economic and environmental wellbeing of Western Australia.
Last updated:

Every year across Australia, a host of events take place to acknowledge and say thank you to the many valued volunteers who provide vital services across our communities. We provide and support opportunities to recognise volunteering and value the contribution it makes to our communities.

Department of Communities WA Volunteer Service Awards

The WA Volunteer Service Awards (held annually) are an opportunity to thank and acknowledge volunteers who give their time and talents to support their communities.

From 2024, the Awards program has been refreshed to reflect contemporary volunteering and enhance recognition of the breadth of volunteer contribution across Western Australia.

Please contact the Volunteering team on email at WAVolunteerServiceAwards@communities.wa.gov.au if you are unsure about eligibility criteria.
