A group of four UK men have made friends with their neighbour's pooch, in a heart-warming post that’s gone viral on social media.

The boys, who live next door to residents with a four-legged friend, asked to be able to look after and walk the dog, in a series of images uploaded to Twitter last week.

“Been saying we’d love a dog about the house but our landlord doesn’t allow pets," one of the men, Jack McCrossan, wrote on Twitter.

In an image of a typed letter, the men explain they are four engineers who had moved in to the area in the past few months.

“The other day, we noticed a four-legged friend looking at us out the window when we arrived home from work," they say in the letter.

“He or she looked like the good-est boy/girl there is.”

Walkies?
