Alleviate Potential Threats and Achieve Cyber Resilience

Hackers have been on the rise executing sophisticated cyber attacks that are affecting both businesses and individuals alike in the Pacific.
A minor lapse in a security plan could adversely impact your online transactions, assets, personal and business accounts.

Protecting your business from fraudsters who can disrupt business operations, steal identity and personal information and hack your account is indispensable, today, especially as the online world has become a hub of business activity.

In a fast-paced online world, lack of security measures could lead to dire consequences including extensive loss of funds, identity theft and can put your business in a vulnerable position.

The Four-Step Threat Mitigation Plan

Almost universally, the following measures to boost security are recognised to help businesses stay protected.

Step 1: Create Strong Passwords

A strong and long password consisting of upper and lowercase letters combined with alphanumeric characters are harder to crack, keeping your data safe from potential hackers.

Ensure that your password isn’t similar for multiple accounts. For instance, if your password was hacked and similar passwords are associated with multiple accounts, it’s easier for hackers to guess the passwords for other accounts. A unique password for each account can limit potential threats.

Use a reputed password manager service. You can safely store all your passwords through password manager for quick reference when in need.

Step 2: Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Beef up your account security by upgrading to two-factor authentication (2FA) when you log in.  2FA is designed to provide you with another layer of protection for your accounts and devices.

By merely entering a code generated from an app or using your thumb print. All you need to do is just turn 2FA on in your privacy settings.

Step 3: Regularly Update Devices and Apps

It’s critical to periodically update your devices and apps by installing the latest software version. The latest software releases are imputed with greater functionality and protection to help you run all services seamlessly. By updating, you can fix errors and glitches,  and access new features, helping you shield your account with another security measure. You can also enable auto-updates.

Step 4: Strengthen Privacy

Protect your personal and business information by ramping up your privacy online. Safeguard your social media accounts by allowing only Friends and legitimate contacts to connect with you.

Always be cautious about sharing private or business information and avoid all potentially-sensitive information that could harm your business. Without adequate security measures, fraudsters could steal not only your information but take over your identity.
