Maori in state care used as slave labour unable to go to school

From Morning Report, 8:42 am on 9 March 2022

Children who were in state care have described being used as slave labour instead of going to school.

Yesterday was the second day of a hearing of the Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry into the experiences of Māori in state- and faith-based care.

RNZ's Māori news reporter Jamie Tahana is following the hearing. And a note - his report contains distressing details.
