Community Grant Program

Introduction

We are engaging with the school community to get your input into the plan, get your ideas and thoughts on how we can make it safer for our children to get to and from school.

To get initiatives off the ground we need your support. If we can demonstrate that the school community is behind the plan it will help us lobby for funding and change.

Please fill in the survey and add comments to the map. The more information we get the better our plan will be. You can add to the map as many times as you like.

Include your email in the survey for your chance to win a $100 Woolworths voucher.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What does a Safer Ways to School Plan look like?

The plan will bring together a number of aspects including:

  • summary of the results from the school community engagement
  • technical review and assessment of what other communities are doing in this space
  • list of opportunities and initiatives

Q: Who is funding the plan?

The City of Hobart has provided a community grant of $2800 to help pay for the software to enable the school community to be surveyed.

The School Association's goal for 2022 is to undertake the engagement and report back to the school community about what we heard.

The goal for delivering the final plan is first semester 2023.

Q: Who will be responsible for delivering the plan?

It is envisaged that the opportunities and initiatives in the final plan will include a range of infrastructure and non-infrastructure solutions. The document will help the school to lobby for funding from all levels of government.
