Join RTRFM’s Disability Inclusion Advisory Group

Wednesday 1st December / posted by Simon Miraudo

RTRFM is proud to have established a strong reputation within Western Australia and has been striving to create a diverse community of passionate music and arts lovers for more than 40 years.

We are strong advocates for inclusion, human rights and social justice and this commitment is part of our foundation that guides how we do business. It is important to us that anyone can safely participate in all that we do, and feel that they belong.

We want to make sure that we continue to be a welcoming and respectful radio station, especially for people with disability/disabilities and we need your help.

RTRFM is looking for a diversity of people with disability to join the RTRFM Disability Inclusion Advisory Group and to help us make sure our radio station is inclusive and accessible.

Purpose of the Disability Inclusion Advisory Group

- Assist RTRFM to build, maintain and develop trusted relationships with people with disability, their families, carers and advocates.

- Help foster an understanding of the experiences of people with disability.

- Provide input and guide the implementation of RTRFM’s Disability Inclusion Plan.

- Identify and enable opportunities for people with disability to participate equally in the RTRFM community.

Who are we looking for?

- Someone who has or has had a disability; family members and/or carers of people with disability.

- Someone with an interest in music and the arts.

- Someone who can commit to attending and contributing to the Advisory Group every 2 months between February 2022 and February 2023 on a voluntary basis.
