Job-ready Graduates Package Information

What is the Job-ready Graduate package?

Overview

Over the period between January 1 2021 and December 31 2023, the Federal Government's Job-ready Graduates Package applied to all VET and Tertiary students. These changes affected course fees, access to Commonwealth Support (such as HECS-HELP etc.), course progress (in the form of Low Completion), concurrent enrolment load and Student Learning Entitlement (SLE).

Students were required to maintain satisfactory progress in their degree to be able to access Commonwealth Support (HELP loans etc.) for study. This is no longer in place and has been replaced by the Student Support Policy.

Student Learning Entitlement (SLE)

Student Learning Entitlement is the amount of study time a student has available as a Commonwealth Supported Student. Since 1 January 2021, this SLE has been capped at 9 EFTSL (equivalent full-time study load) for all students. 1 EFTSL is equal to 48 Credit Points at UNE. For more information, please see the Study Assist Website - Student Learning Entitlement.

Additional Information

If you require any further information or clarification please submit your enquiry to AskUNE through the Contact Us tab, or phone (02) 6773 2000 for assistance.

Units that count towards Low Completion are units that have fee implications to them. For example, 0 Credit Point units will not be used in the calculation, whereas 6 Credit Point units will count.
