Now in its 7th year, this program is all about empowering young leaders aged 15-18 with skills in marine stewardship, leadership, and community building. Through a series of workshops, excursions, and guest speakers, these amazing participants are set to make a real difference in our world! Jacquie our dedicated Jetty Crew Coordinator, shared her excitement about this year's cohort. "It's incredible to witness the growth of the program year after year," she said. With a record number of high-quality applicants, this year's Crew is our most competitive application pool to date. We're immensely grateful to our program sponsors whose generosity has made the 2024 Jetty Crew program possible. Huge thanks to Bendigo Bank Busselton, Busselton Jetty Swim, Craneford Plumbing, Innovation Cluster, Peter May McAuliffe Legal, Shorewater Marine, and Tronox for their unwavering support! 🌊 Jetty Love Lives On! 💙 In Wednesday’s feature in The West Australian newspaper, we proudly highlight the enduring legacy and positive impact of Busselton Jetty! Since its establishment in 1865, the Jetty has stood as a cornerstone of our community's heritage, cherished by each successive generation. As aptly expressed by Judith Murray, “There is a close connection for the people…the jetty is a form of inheritance, held in trust by the present generation.” The Jetty has more exciting times ahead. This July, we eagerly anticipate the grand opening of our New Marine Discovery Centre, promising enriching opportunities for exploration and education. Furthermore, the introduction of direct flights from Sydney to Busselton next week will facilitate seamless access to our iconic Jetty! ✈️ With unprecedented numbers of visitors flocking to relish the Jetty's splendour and the remarkable growth of our Underwater Sculpture Park exceeding all environmental expectations, the future of Busselton Jetty shines brighter than ever! ☀️ Our vision extends even further as we aim to materialise the Australian Underwater Discovery Centre, elevating the allure of our extraordinary destination. Join us in commemorating the past, embracing the present, and envisioning the future of Busselton Jetty! Together, let’s continue to forge enduring memories and cultivate legacies that resonate for generations to come.

Our Business Development Manager, Sarah Hijazi, recently embarked on an exhilarating journey to India for the Tourism Western Australia India Roadshow organised in collaboration with Business Events Perth. Over the past week, she traversed the vibrant cities of New Delhi and Mumbai, accompanied by 16 WA hotels, attractions, experiences, and Regional Tourism Organisations. Last week Cooper Shreeve represented Busselton Jetty at the Australian Tourism Export Council, Meeting Place event in Adelaide, South Australia. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the tourism industry and meet other inbound tourism professionals at this flagship event.
