ParaBoss is currently developing a one-day WormBoss workshop for sheep producers.
The ParaBoss team invites interested sheep producers to take part in the third pilot of this workshop. The role of pilot attendees will be to participate in the workshop and provide grower-based feedback regarding workshop content. This feedback will be reviewed and will contribute to the final workshop content and resources.
The program for the day will be:
- Introduction, and cost of worms to the Australian sheep industry
- Worms and their life cycles
- Best practice worm control
- How to minimise the development of drench resistance on your farm
- Worm egg counts and what they tell you
- Using the WormBoss Drench Decision Guides - what product to use and when, dose rates, and important information on the label
The workshop will assist you with developing an integrated parasite management plan for your sheep operation which you will be able to take to implement on your property.
