At Nanopath, we are passionate about improving human health through the development of life-saving technologies. We founded our company because we believe that the technology we've developed in the lab can save lives.
Nanopath was spun out of the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth in partnership with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Our Vision
Women's health has been consistently overlooked, resulting in critical health decisions being made in the dark. Existing tools for assessing women's health were not intentionally designed to meet the needs of the complex female biology or emerging healthcare models.
Nanopath aims to capture specific and actionable information that respects the nuance of the underlying biology. We envision Nanopath’s platform as the go-to system for routine women’s health screening at the point-of-care.
Nanopath has developed deep technological breakthroughs that have the potential to change the molecular diagnostic paradigm. We aim to empower the patient and provider within the context of women’s most intimate infectious diseases and health obstacles.
Our Technology
Our diagnostic approach harnesses advances in bioengineering and nanotechnology to sensitively and specifically detect viral, bacterial and fungal pathogens without the need for nucleic acid amplification.
While our initial focus is on women's infectious diseases, the technology platform has applications that extend well-beyond this initial application area.

We are passionate about reaching underserved populations with our diagnostic solution, both globally and in our own backyards. Women have been consistently underserved by healthcare solutions, but we must prioritize our reach to areas where these inequities have been exacerbated.
