The Food and Fibre Centre of Vocational Excellence has requested the New Zealand Rural Leadership Trust to conduct research into the current state of leader development in the food and fibre sector and then collaboratively define, design and develop an integrated approached tailored to food and fibre that helps establish leadership development pathways for our people to grow and succeed.


For this stage of the project, our research team comprises Chris Parsons (CEO NZ Rural Leadership Trust www.ruralleaders.co.nz) and Dr Ellen Nelson (www.ellenjoannelson.com). We are conducting interviews and focus groups, in addition to this survey, to ensure that perspectives are fully understood from across the span, strata, and demography of the Sector.
