Darebin City Council have partnered with Young Change Agents to deliver a youth entrepreneurship and leadership program for young people aged 18-25 in Reservoir, funded by the Victorian State Government as part of the Reservoir Suburban Revitalisation Project.
The program will be divided into three phases:
1) Hackathon: a two day workshop to help participants come up with a business idea that aligns with their interests and addresses a problem in their community.
2) Virtual Masterclasses: a series of three two hour workshops to help participants develop skills in leadership, innovation and digital technologies.
3) Accelerator: a two day workshop with masterclasses, networking and mentorship to take their ideas to the next level, culminating in a pitch to receive a share of a prize pool including $11,000 funding to start their business.
We are currently seeking expressions from mentors from Reservoir and the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem. Mentors will coach a specific team and attend three mentoring sessions throughout the program, playing a key role in supporting participants to build self-esteem, confidence, skills and connections.
Applications close on Wednesday 24 August. If you have any questions or require further information, please contact
