Project Information

City Plan is a new way of doing urban planning where we are mapping our vision and strategies for future sustainable growth and development across the City of Adelaide. Using new 3D technology, we can analyse options to get the best results for the community, environment and economy and track how we’re going.

Building on existing plans and commitments, City Plan 2036 will promote city growth that is centred around the needs of its people, now and into the future. It will help us drive economic vitality, prioritise social wellbeing, manage environmental sustainability and be ready to deal with potential challenges quickly and more easily to create a sense of community and connectedness.

To do this, we need to get together and talk about how we want to live, work, learn, play, and connect in our capital city in the future.

We asked the community to help us by contributing your 'pins' to our spatially mapped 'pin-drop' survey to show us what is important and where there are opportunities for growth and renewal.
