Join us at the Mid West’s first Aboriginal Business Forum on Thursday 9 June in Geraldton.
This informative event is designed to promote growth in the community and highlight Aboriginal business owners in the region.
The forum will feature a line-up of keynote speakers, two discussion panels and a diverse local business expo.
This event is an opportunity to embrace Aboriginal culture in business and industries, cultivate skills and meaningful relationships, and together, celebrate Aboriginal business wins. The theme of the forum is ‘Ocean to Outback’ and will also feature an art auction for emerging Yamatji artists.

The Mid West Aboriginal Business Forum is proudly brought to you by the Mid West Development Commission, Yamatji Southern Regional Corporation, The Government of Western Australia, the Department Of Jobs Tourism Science and Innovation (JTSI) and Aboriginal Businesses, with the common goal of bringing valuable opportunities to the region.
This one day program will include a full day of professional and informative Forum, finishing with a Mid West Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted Business After Hours event.

Business After Hours | 9 June 2022 | 17:00-19:30 |The Piazza
This is a networking event unlike the others, in conjunction with the Aboriginal Business Forum, this networking event will finish the day, connecting businesses from the Mid West, Aboriginal businesses, stakeholders from Perth and interested parties to continue any conversations from the day, create new connections and/or strengthen current relationships. This networking event will be from 17:00-19:30, half an hour earlier than our usual 17:30 start. This is due to holding an Art Auction on the evening - in conjunction with the Aboriginal Business Forum - Aboriginal artists from the Mid West who have entered will be auctioning their art pieces with an 'Ocean to Outback' theme.
It will be held outside on The Piazza, nibbles and refreshments will be provided with Craig Pickett singing in the background, this is one event to put into your calendar!
This amazing event hosts are Mitsui E&P Australia, Garla Bana and Strike Energy!
