Mandatory Child Protection training for the Child and Family sector.
Training to include the following:
- Understanding of roles and responsibilities in the prevention of child abuse and neglect
- Responding to indications and/or disclosures of child abuse in a culturally appropriate way
- Current legislation
- How to identify indicators of child abuse
- How to respond to identified cases of abuse
- What to do if a child discloses child abuse
- How to support children, families, workers in a culturally informed way
