Join us this Youth Week for a 3-hour comedy workshop with Anthony Lamond!


Develop your own style of stand up comedy, find your voice, and develop your first 5 minute set in a fun and supportive environment.

After 10 years as a professional stand-up comedian and having taught over 500 students in the last 3 years, Anthony Lamond will take you for a peep behind the curtain and share his knowledge on what it takes to become a stand up comedian.

His Comedy Workshop & Graduation Performance is not a competition to find the funniest comedian rather it's about helping and developing each individual to become more confident, have more self-belief and build better resilience.

In this three-hour workshop he will cover;

  • The science of laughter and why we laugh
  • Developing a character for stage
  • Sourcing material & writing for yourself
  • Stage craft and microphone technique
  • Shaping, editing & finalizing your material
  • Producing your own show & building your own audience
  • Developing your first 5 min routine for your graduation performance

Past students who have completed the workshop have commented that they now have;

Students will work on a 2-5 minute comedy routine that will be performed at the final ‘Snowy Valleys Performance’ on Wednesday 17th April at the Batlow Literacy Institute from 5:30pm.

Light refreshments will be provided however it is recommended participants bring along lunch/snack and water bottle.

Australian comedian and actor Anthony Lamond is a producer of comedy shows and has shared the stage with high profile comedians such as Dave Hughes, Jimeoin, Arj Barker,Fiona O'Loughlin, Peter Rowsthorn, Cal Wilson, Merrick Watts, Lawrence Mooney, The Old Fella, Chris Franklin, Heath Franklin and Bob Franklin just to name a few.
