It’s time to put the brakes on vehicle-related harm

We’re making farm vehicle safety a priority.

Just over a month ago, we put a call out for your two cents on vehicle-related harm on farm. We wanted to hear from those who know farm vehicles best – the people driving them.

We asked about the close calls, your learnings, and what your views are on what needs to change.

At Safer Farms, we believe we can make positive change as a community and an industry. One way is by learning from our past experiences.

Over the coming weeks, farmers from around the country will be sharing their stories. This is an opportunity to learn from each other, to take stock, and to implement changes.

It’s a chance to ask: ‘what’s one thing you can change or do differently today?’

It’s time to stop being half arsed about vehicle safety. Let’s put the brakes on vehicle-related harm.

It’s time we all pull together, to Farm Without Harm.

Farm Without Harm seeks to curb the human cost in producing food and fibre by designing harm out of farming, and sharing knowledge and experience. Our work is underpinned by the Farm Without Harm strategy, the first whole-of-sector and whole systems approach to designing preventable harm out of New Zealand’s farming systems.

Safety Alerts are learnings from real life incidents.

They are a great way to learn from incidents that have happened on other farms.
