The room was very comfortable warm clean and roomy. We always stay here when in Melbourne it is so convenient to everywhere. We walk to restaurants and go for a walk in the Fitzroy gardens. We also find Uber access is good to medical appointments.

Stinking rubbish left in kitchen bin from previous persons, not cleaned properly, not a good stay sorry..

Mantra on Russell was perfectly located for our stay, room was clean and well presented. However, for the first time ever I’ve been disappointed in an Accor Hotel. Both check in and check out did not go smoothly. We parked early in the day and I asked if there was any possibility of checking in at 1pm instead of 2pm. I was told yes. I actually arrived back at 1.45pm to check in and was told the room was not ready yet. Anyway, we checked in at 2pm and the arrival welcome gift for my friends birthday that I had requested was not there in the room. I called reception two times over the next couple of hours before they finally delivered it. By this stage we were needing to head back out. Lighting in the room was really terrible in the bathroom and not bright enough. Check out took a really long time. Given I checked out at 9.45am, you would think they know ahead it’s going to be a busy time. There was only one person available for check out for a good 15 minutes. I had further travel to complete and this delay impacted on that. I would be hesitant to stay again unless I had all the time in the world to check in and out and I wasn’t needing a welcome gift for someone. Plenty of other top quality hotels from Accor that have impressed me with their service.

Disappointed with the housekeeping service which I had to request. Beds are no longer made which was a shock.

Very good. the one issue was the sensitivity of the hot water setting in the shower. the water was extremely hot and required only a fraction of opening of the hot and fully open cold to avoid risk of burns.
