Regional Enrolments Data Tool

This data tool has been developed to provide an overview of government-funded enrolments in vocational education and training within Tasmania.

Data can be viewed by either local government area where training delivery occurred or by student residence area. This data reporting utilises data provided by registered training organisations.

To explore the report, use the filters and drill-through options to see enrolment data for the qualifications that you are interested in.

It is important to note that this data has been provided to Skills Tasmania by RTOs as part of funding agreements to deliver vocational education and training. Skills Tasmania has utilised the data provided and is not responsible for errors or omissions in this data,

Enrolments for all delivery methods (internal, external and workplace-based) are included. The count of enrolments includes commencing and continuing enrolments.

Note also that the reported figures have been rounded to the nearest five (so 23 enrolments will be listed as 25, and a zero means 1 or 2 enrolments, as qualifications with no enrolments are not included).

Then read the instructions below or on the front page of the tool for options to view the data.

To view the tool in full screen mode, click on the double-headed arrow in the bottom right-hand corner then press the esc key to return to normal size.

Instructions

There are several ways to explore the data:

• Select a slicer in the top banner for an LGA, industry or enrolment period (hold 'Ctrl' button for multiple selections, hover in the top-right of the filter for an 'eraser' icon to reset, or click the ‘clear all slicers’ button in the top banner)
• Clicking on the map will filter results to show enrolments for a specific LGA (then click in an area of no data, such as the water, to reset the filter - only use the map or the slicer, but not both at the same time, as no data will be shown)
• Click on the table data to filter the map (click on the highlighted row in the table to reset)
• Expand the table data by clicking the + symbol to show individual qualifications within a field of education.
• Right click on a qualification and select 'drill through' to see more data about how the qualification is delivered.
