Bio

Hailing from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Georgia Miller is a member of a highly prestigious group within Australian surf sports. Called a Triple Crown, Miller won the Coolangatta Gold, a Nutri-Grain Iron Series and an Australian Ironwoman title all within the same season. This incredible feat came immediately after she moved to the Gold Coast to pursue a professional IronWoman career. Miller was recently inducted into the SLSA Hall of Fame at only 26 years old, and outside of surf sports, she runs the Nippers program at Northcliffe SLSC.

Georgia, how old were you when youstarted surf lifesaving and why?

U6’s, my older sisters loved nippers so I was always down the beach waiting until I could start the sport.

Who was your hero growing up in surf lifesaving?

Naomi Flood, she was always such a fierce competitor and she was from where I grew up so I got to watch her train and race all the time. Now she is my coach!

What is the best piece of advice that you have ever been given?

Be humble, be hungry and always be the hardest worker.

Your advice for aspiring Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain athletes?

That same advice – hard work always outshines talent. Also remember to enjoy it, I always race better when I’m having fun!

What do you think about during a race?

Staying present and not thinking too far ahead but still focusing on what I need to do throughout the race.

Georgia, what has been a high in your IronWoman journey?

Low: was having to pull out of the first two rounds of the 2021/22 Nutri-Grain Series. I had a heart condition and upon medical advice I was advised not to race. I hated watching and not being able to be out there doing what I love.

High: But coming off that I worked really hard and had one of the biggest highs by winning the final 2 rounds of last years series!
Another high would be winning my 3rd consecutive Aussies Ironwoman!

Do you have any race day superstitions?

I always have the same breakfast before races and do the same warm up.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, Norman my dog! He’s the best.
