Bio

It was two Unstoppable performances that saw Lana Rogers go-to-back and claim both the 2019/20 and the 2020/21 Nutri-Grain Series. Calling Cronulla Beach in Sydney’s south home, Rogers moved to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland to pursue a professional IronWoman career. The move paid off, with Rogers not only claiming two Nutri-Grain Series trophies, but also two first place finishes in the iconic Coolangatta Gold Long Course. When she is not competing and training, Rogers enjoys cooking and spending time with her partner and family, and works as a Learn to Swim teacher part-time.

Lana, how old were you when youstarted surf lifesaving and why?

5 years old. My dad was a surf champion and Olympian himself so both my sister and I were straight in!

Who was your hero growing up in and out of surf lifesaving?

Liz Plumbers – she’s the best. She always had something extra over the other girls when racing so that was always exciting to watch.

What is the best piece of advice that you have ever been given?

Every failure is another step towards success.

Your advice for aspiring Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain athletes?

Patience is the key.

What do you think about during a race?

I focus on each step.

Lana, what has been a high and low in your IronWoman journey?

High: Winning the 2019/20 and 2010/21 Nutri-Grain Series back to back, plus the beautiful Coolie Gold in 2019.

Low: Not finishing the final race of the 2021/22 Nutri-Grain Series or the 2021 Coolie Gold.

Do you have any race day superstitions?

I jump off socials a few days before.

Do you have a secret talent?

I can actually cook!
