Description
This course will help you understand child abuse and neglect, the impact on tamariki (children) and how you can help. This course is suitable for anyone working with tamariki in the primary and intermediate sector, either as a teacher, teacher's aide, parent/whānau helper or administrator.

If possible have your child protection policy and procedures on hand while you are completing this course.

• Know your responsibilities to safeguard, protect and support the wellbeing of tamariki.

• Recognise the signs, symptoms, behaviours and indicators of child abuse and neglect.
• Explain how to respond and report appropriately to concerns.
