The 69 socially and culturally diverse projects that comprise APT10 reveal artists reimaging cultural knowledge and practices to meet the contemporary conditions we face in the world together. The varied materials, techniques and cultural contexts of art-making that flourish across the Asia-Pacific region, from pottery to weaving, embroidery and painting, allude to historical precedents while imbued with contemporary inflections. This talk will focus on a selection of the challenging Asian works on show in APT10, presenting artists from across the Asia Pacific region.
