AGM face to face

Our 2021 Annual General Meeting will be held face to face on Monday 8 November 2021, at the Leeton Soldiers Club. Registration will be open from 1.30pm, with the meeting commencing at 2pm.

Conditions of entry: In accordance with the COVID-19 public health orders, attendees will be required to check in via a COVID Safe app and show proof of double vaccination. Further information on NSW Government requirements can be found here. Shareholders will be informed if NSW Government Health Orders change preventing a physical meeting being held.

Proxy voting: Proxy voting closes, Sunday 7 November at 2pm.

No time to lose in delivering projects for
better outcomes

The announcement from the Federal Government that $330Million will be spent to accelerate delivery of five Murray Darling Basin Plan projects was a welcome one.

The SDLAM projects were created as a part of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan to protect communities and agricultural production while still delivering outcomes for the environment. Failure to achieve the projects by 2024 places productive water and the communities that use it at risk.

Farewell reflections of time on MI Board
The Newstream caught up with our Chairman, Nayce Dalton, and Tony Sergi, who will both be retiring from the Board at the upcoming AGM.
Nayce joined the MI Board in 2013, when MI and the region were still recovering from the trauma of the 2012 floods. In the eight years since he has seen huge changes in the operations, culture and future direction of the business.

IPART changes to Bulk Water Charges
Our Schedule of Charges has been updated to include changes to the Government Bulk Water Recovery Charges for the period 1 October 2021 to 30 June 2022. Bulk Water Charges are regulated State Government charges determined by IPART and passed through to all customers.
