Wellbeing and support services for small businesses
INTRODUCING THE SMALL BUSINESS WELLBEING PROJECT
We are excited to announce that VTIC has been selected as one of ten organisations in Victoria to be part of the Small Business Wellbeing Project.
The Small Business Wellbeing Project is part of the Victorian Government’s $26 million Wellbeing and Mental Health Support program for small businesses. The Project is funded by the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR), managed by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and delivered by the Partners in Wellbeing team at EACH.

What does the program offer?
  • Free and confidential one-on-one access to a highly experienced wellbeing and mental health consultant*
  • Free financial counselling and business advice.
Who is this available to?
The project will run until the end of June 2021. During this time, you, your family and any staff member can access these services – it’s free and confidential.

How can you access these services?
VTIC has a new team member – Danielle Hose, Mental Health/Wellbeing Clinician and Consultant (see below a message from Dannii) – who is looking forward to connecting with you in the next few months. MEET DANIELLE HOSE
Hi, my name is Dannii.  I am the new mental health clinician consultant for the Partners In Wellbeing, Small Business Wellbeing Program at VTIC. I work for a community organisation called EACH. I have been working as a mental health practitioner for the past 14 years in the community public mental health sector.

Along with my expertise in mental health and wellbeing I come with a background, knowledge, and understanding of business after spending the first decade of my career in the international trade sector in the USA, China, and Singapore. I have worked in small and family-run businesses, and understand the demands, intricacies, and pressures of running a small business.

I’m also a proud Victorian born and bred with a great sense of adventure and wanderlust and enjoy nothing better than getting out and about in our great state. My passion for travel took me overseas where I lived as an expatriate for 12 years after being awarded a full athletic scholarship to university in the USA after high school. I grew up as an elite junior tennis player in Australia, so health and wellbeing have always been a top priority for me, it’s what I live and breathe to this day. And like an elite athlete, peak performance when it comes to managing your business starts with a foundation of good mental health and wellbeing.
I would like the opportunity to chat with you and offer support with any wellbeing concerns you may have, or even just help you explore and learn a few simple tips and strategies for improving or bolstering your general wellbeing and resilience during these challenging times to help you thrive. And I can also refer you to our financial counselling and business advisor support services.

It is a free and confidential service, from 9am to 5pm weekdays. We can connect over the phone, via video conference, or face-to-face depending on your location and any COVID-19 restrictions at the time.

There is also a statewide Partners In Wellbeing helpline, 1300 375 330, that is available should you need to speak to someone outside of business hours. This service is open until 10pm weekdays and from 9am to 5pm on weekends. They may ask if you are a member of any organisation, so please reference VTIC.

If you’d like to read more information about the Partners In Wellbeing program, please visit the website, partnersinwellbeing.org.au.

To get in touch with me please email consultation@vtic.com.au or call the dedicated VTIC line (03) 7035 5732.

I look forward to talking with you soon.
Dannii
