We all have the right to feel safe.
Especially our children and the most vulnerable people in our community.

Escare is delighted that we have been granted funding to develop a Nurragunnawali plan (RAP)
for our Outside School Hours Care Centre (EOSHC)
We will be calling for EOI soon to engage a worker for this project

Narragunnawali supports schools and early learning services in Australia to develop environments that foster a higher level of knowledge and pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions.

Thank you Lotterywest who supported us with funding towards the purchase of
our bus which we use to support our activities.

We value their ongoing support and acknowledge the positive impact for many individuals, groups
and organisations in the Esperance Community.

We also thank Sheldon Paint and Panel for removing some recent graffiti
and
Sandrat Signs for placing the new Lotterywest signage on the bus,
all at no cost.

Thank you!

Youth Service

Funded by the Department of Communities, the Escare Youth service works with young people to build their skills and abilities, enhance their strengths, develop their resilience, and connect them with appropriate services, family members and peers in their communities, the focus moving towards person centred case management and flexible, tailored service delivery.
Case Management is a collaborative process of assessment, planning, goal setting, facilitation and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual's holistic needs. The challenge is to address all of the individual's needs, issues and barriers through a structured process of respectful engagement.

ANCHOR - ESPERANCE

ANCHORWA is an organisation which offers mentoring support for young people through direct relationships.

The target of the program is to raise the level of opportunities available to young people as well as raise their ability to grasp them, encouraging positive life choices.

The AnchorWA network connects supporting adults to young people, providing safe spaces for conversation, activities, fun, and positive experiences through one-on-one friendships of at least one year.

Mentors and mentees schedule their own contact times but must commit to a minimum of 8 hours per month. Mentors and mentees are encouraged to do every day free/low cost activities like going on a picnic, watching a movie, going to the beach, kicking a football, walking a dog, bike riding etc.

It is a pathway for adults with beneficial skills, time and life experiences to share through friendship - and strengthen our community via intergenerational association.
