Hepatitis B Service System Navigator

  • Use your experience of hepatitis B  and community work to design and deliver a pilot program that connects people living with hepatitis B to care.

The WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis and Victorian Infectious Diseases Service are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people living with chronic viral hepatitis. We collaborate across our sector, with government, clinicians, and community, to drive innovation in health care.

 

Your new role:

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of the LINC-B Service pilot program, with a focus on the peer, social and community support that is needed for people living with hepatitis B to maintain a connection to clinical care.
  • Partner with community and peer organisations to develop resources, information, and pathways for the program.
  • Provide information and support to clients referred to the LINC-B program, working through interpreters where required.

About you:

  • You have lived or other experience of hepatitis B, and experience working with community and peer support organisations.
  • You understand the social, cultural and other challenges faced by people living with hepatitis B.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with respect and cultural sensitivity with people from diverse backgrounds.

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Record Check, and where applicable, Working With Children Check (WWCC).
