First Sketch
Event description
DRILL's 2023 program concludes with First Sketch – a choreographic lab for our Senior Company members to explore creative concepts that interest them and test the waters on being dance makers with mentorship from the DRILL AD, Bec Dundas.
Three selected company members are directing a small group of performers in a work that they will devise. And the site-specific inspiration is the buildings of Kickstart – with a showing of the works-in-progress to be performed in various spaces in and around the buildings on the weekend of 9 & 10 December.
Come along to one of our three performances to see the works devised by Evelyn Bryan, Kyle Lamb and Molly Taplin.
Please note: Audience numbers are limited due to space constraints, and reservations are essential.
We plan to have the performances outside, with the audience standing, but please note in the accessibility requirements if you will need a chair provided. Our rain alternative venue is the Dance Studio, which is up a flight of stairs.
