2022 APAC HPC-AI Competition

Overview

The 5th APAC HPC-AI Competition, , organized by the HPC-AI Advisory Council and National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore, National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) Australia has been announced on March 1st, 2022 during SCAsia22.

High-performance computing and artificial intelligence are the most essential tools fueling the advancement of science. In order to handle the ever-growing demands for higher computation performance and the increase in the complexity of research problems, the world of scientific computing continues to re-innovate itself in a fast pace.

Please notice:
  • The HPC-AI Advisory Council will announce the 5th APAC HPC-AI Competition on March 1st, 2022 during SCAsia22
  • The HPC-AI Advisory Council will finalize the list of competitive teams by Apr 29th, 2022
  • The HPC-AI Advisory Council will announce the training plan on May 10th, 2022
  • The HPC-AI Advisory Council will provide the training lecture in May and June, 2022
  • All teams should submit presentation slides together with their code before October 14th, 2022
  • The HPC-AI Advisory Council will announce the presentation review agenda on October 19th, 2022
  • The presentation review is scheduled from October 24 to November 4, 2022 via video conference. Each team will have 30 minutes to present and 30 minutes for Q&A.
  • The final result will be announced at the Supercomputing Conference 2022 in November 2022, in Dallas, USA.
  • The award ceremony will take place at the SupercomputingAsia 2023 conference in Singapore

The winning teams will receive the following awards:
  • First Place (One team): The First prize letter and trophy, a reserved spot representing APAC at the 2022 International ISC Student Cluster Competition, RDMA Programming lecture.
  • Second Place (Two teams): The second prize letter and trophy, RDMA Programming lecture, HPC and AI foundation lecture.
  • Third Place (Three teams): The third prize letter and trophy, RDMA Programming lecture, HPC and AI foundation lecture.
  • Merit Prize (up to three teams): The merit prize letter, RDMA Programming lecture, HPC and AI foundation lecture.
  • HPC Special Prize: : The HPC prize letter.
  • AI Special Prize: : The AI Special prize letter.
  • Each team member who finishes the competition tasks will receive a certificate.
