The Gold Coast is open for business and we acknowledge local authorities, emergency services, and volunteers for working tirelessly to provide support to those affected by recent weather events. Our tight-knit tourism industry is strong and has already shown remarkable resilience in recent years. Despite facing challenges, the spirit of unity and determination among the community has been truly inspiring. Together, we believe that the Gold Coast will not only recover from this setback but emerge even stronger. Experience Gold Coast CEO John Warn GAICD FIML FCSIA and Executive Director for Tourism Rachel Hancock together with City of Gold Coast Deputy Mayor Donna Gates, Queensland Government's Minister for Tourism Michael Healy, Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Patricia O'Callaghan met with various impacted operators across the region including Grant Amor at Gold Coast Motor Museum. We will be working hard at Experience Gold Coast to drive visitation with additional marketing allocated to support recovery.
