Chennupati and Vidya Jagadish Fellowship and Scholarship Awards

The Chennupati and Vidya Jagadish Visiting Scholarship and Fellowship Awards give students and researchers from developing countries the chance to travel to the Research School of Physics at ANU to pursue collaborative research for up to 12 weeks. The Award provides researchers an important opportunity to form international links with colleagues while raising the profile of their home country in the field of physics.

Please consider research projects / areas / groups listed under ‘Physics and Engineering’ on the 2023 FRT program webpage. In your application, please nominate at least one, and up to two, research projects / areas / groups from that list that you are interested in working with.

Field(s) of study

  • Visiting Fellowship will be available to an early career research staff member who wishes to undertake a period of research collaboration at ANU Physics and resides in a developing country.
  • Visiting Scholarship will be available to an Undergraduate student or a Master degree student who wishes to undertake a period of study at ANU Physics and resides in a developing country.

Number of Awards

  • Visiting Fellowship - Up to 1 award available each year (subject to availability)
  • Visiting Scholarship - Up to 4 awards available each year (Applications close 23 November every year)

Accessing education is often difficult and sometimes unattainable for students living in developing countries. The Chennupati and Vidya Jagadish Endowment Fund aims to support deserving students and researchers to experience the opportunities provided by the Research School of Physics at the ANU.
