Building Active Bodies and Brains is a series of free resources for parents of children aged one to five years, developed by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and Playgroup WA. The series includes videos, information and imaginative play ideas to help your child develop fundamental movement skills.

There are physical and mental benefits of starting to explore these skills in the early years. The research shows physical development is an important part of supporting growing brains to learn and develop at school and beyond.

It will equip your child with all the elements they need for functional activities throughout their life from building strength for sitting and learning in a classroom, to developing focus, concentration and social skills.

We invite you to watch the videos and explore the activities for some inspiration to get moving and have fun!
