Late Jennelyn Kennedy died a result of massive blows to the head and bruising of her internal organs causing trauma, the ultimate collapsing of her system and eventually death.
This was revealed by Port Moresby General Hospital Chief Pathologist Dr Seth Fose who carried out the three-hour autopsy last Friday at the Erima Funeral Home.
Homicide and family members were there to witness the post-mortem.
Dr Fose told the media that late Jennelyn’s case was straight forward with the cause of death now established paving the way for police to complete their file and move forward to present in court.
Further questions into the post-mortem conducted were not explained because of the sensitivity of the case.
A blunt force trauma is defined as, cases involved and classified as accidents and as well as in cases of suicide and homicide.
As in this case she may have been struck over the head and died as a result of blunt impact injuries to her head and body. The findings from the post-mortem are inconsistent with Dr Sam Yockopua and the police statements based on an interview.
Young Jennelyn’s battered body was covered with bruises and abrasions and brought in and dumped cold heartedly at the Port Moresby General Hospital Emergency wing by three men who have since been identified as friends of her intimate partner Bhospie Kaiwi on June 23.
The police and hospitals reports allege that while this was happening Kaiwi sat in the vehicle and waited for the return of the three men before leaving abruptly. Further reports also emerged that Jennelyn had been subjected to abuse and torture for six days before succumbing to injuries. Kaiwi has since been charged with willful murder and faces court today.
