Overview

The APS hosts this activity with the APS Psychology and Ageing Interest Group (PAIG).

The complexities of a gaining a dementia diagnosis, the changes in abilities and family relationships can cause enormous strain on all involved. Being able to identify the most appropriate service to a client or family such as dementia education, therapeutic approaches to assist with the associated emotional stress, group programs, family therapy, or guidance to other aged care services, and supporting the family to enable them to live well with the impacts of dementia are all possible approaches. This webinar will primarily focus on why, and how, psychologists can provide services to family members of people who are living with dementia.
