Kimba Calls You!

We’ve got it all in Kimba, but for you.

Kimba Needs a Doctor

Our desire to have you live and work with us is such that we’ve invested almost $1 million to upgrade our multi-disciplinary medical centre and its seven consulting rooms for a team-based medical collaboration across disciplines such as dentistry, podiatry and physiotherapy.

Kimba Needs Tradies

As a population centre, Kimba’s future is bright. Construction of Australia’s National Radioactive Waste Management Facility is imminent. It will create about 180 construction jobs and at least 45 full-time-equivalent jobs once operational. This, in turn, will create more jobs to service a bigger Kimba.

Everyone in Kimba is ready and waiting to welcome you to our beautiful part of the amazing     Eyre Peninsula.

Kimba: where families thrive.

Everything in Kimba is about family. So much so, that we’re kind of one big family. Towns like ours have the edge when it comes to looking out for each other. Our children are in all that we do. If you’ve lived in a country town before, you know what we mean. If you haven’t, get ready… you’re in for a treat.

Kimba: a place for community

Kimba is one of Australia’s most celebrated country towns. A Queensland University study accorded it ‘Australia’s Friendliest Community and Best Remote Area to Live’. It is South Australia’s reigning Agricultural Town of the Year and current KESAB Sustainably Community/Tidy Town of the Year.

Kimba: a place for friends.

Pretty soon, you will know every one of us by our first name. We’re an informal lot and we like to spread cheer…

Wednesday night is ‘schnitzel night’ at our local, the Kimba Gateway Hotel and there’s a host of other community activities that you’d expect in a place like Kimba.

Kimba: a place to relax.

When we’re not working, we’re relaxing at golf, winter and summer sports, fishing in Spencer Gulf, kayaking in the town lake and bush walking in the marvellous Gawler Ranges.

Kimba: closer to water than you’d expect.

There’s a lake just down the road that is just made for kayaking. Then, just a sixty-minute drive down the road to the coast, some of the best fishing going round. If you surf, you will want to spend a weekend or more at the famous Cactus Beach, out towards the Nullarbor Plain.
