About this app

Train your brain with BrainHQ from Posit Science—the most rigorous program available for better brain health, and the only one backed by more than 100 scientific papers showing benefits. Now with new features that contribute to your brain fitness success!

BrainHQ represents the culmination of 30 years of research in neurological science and related medicine. Top scientists from around the world helped to develop and test the BrainHQ exercises. The result: a training system that comprehensively improves brain function, from the most basic elements of perception through the most complex elements of memory, thinking, and decision-making.

No other brain fitness program can match BrainHQ in scientific proof. More than 100 publications from independent, randomized controlled trials have shown that the exercises and assessments in BrainHQ drive real change. These changes include:
• functional changes, such as better memory and faster processing speed
• real-world abilities, including safer driving and a lower chance of depressive symptoms
• physical brain changes, like healthier white matter and more coordinated neurons.

All of this means that BrainHQ works—in laboratory studies, and in the lives of everyday people:

The BrainHQ app helps you set and achieve your brain training goals—so it not only works, it works for you.

Each exercise adapts to your performance and gets more challenging as your performance improves, just like a personal trainer for your brain.

The training is designed to fit into your life: train for just 5 minutes in your spare time, or do a complete workout in an hour.

Most of the levels don't give instructions. If you click on the "i" icon, it shows nothing. The audio is all the way up, and there aren't spoken instructions, eitger. So you're guessing at what the rules are, even in sessions where is says the rules change each level. Wouldn't considet paying for the subscription version because of this.

I was having fun until I got to this butterfly game where you have to remember butterflies by color. The colors are pale pink, pale purple, and pale blue. I have color-deficient vision, a red-green colorblindness, and the butterfly colors are indiscernable to me. The exercise is unplayable. I had to close the app in frustration. Needs a colorblind mode. EDIT: They have since updated the game and made all of the butterflies more visually distinct via their patterning, as well as color scheme. <3

Hi Rick, most of the visual exercises are more difficult if you have color-deficient vison. We always use distinct shade patterns, shapes, and colors for each butterfly. Although your performance may not be as good as a person with normal vision the exercise is doable. We have specifically tested the stimuli with users like yourself.

Perhaps I'm not being fair, but compared to Elevate and Lumosity, this game is terrible. With the free version, you can only play one game once daily; hardly enough to figure out if the paid version is worth it. Regarding having to pay, the graphics are really weak. Additionally, some games do not play properly acording to instructions (as noted in other reviews) which adds even more frustration. This really could use improvement if it wants to keep up with it's competitors.

What's new

This version fixes a crash bug in the exercises on Android 14 and an issue with the responses in a few levels of the To-Do-List Training exercise.
