The Griefy Way

AN INFORMED VIEW OF CHILDLOSS

I'm a bereaved parent. A mum who, like many, looks up to the stars each night, hoping to catch a glimpse of my baby. My first child, a beautiful boy called Sebastian, died with an inexplicably rare genetic error when he was ten months old.

The loss of a child does not define us as parents, but it undeniably changes our paths.

Writing about him and for him has not only helped me to grieve. It has also helped those around me to understand the impact that child loss creates.

Grieving after a child dies is a personal and somewhat triumphant journey. Each day that we conquer is a victory. I hope that you find some guidance or solace here.

This is our starry story.
