To Celebrate International Day of People Living with a Disability (IDPwD) Pride in Health + Wellbeing along with ACON’s Queer Ability team hosted a panel of remarkable intersectional speakers.
Our panellists discussed the challenges of being LGBTQ and living with a disability. They talked about the complexity of navigating intersectional identities in a world where stigma and discrimination still occur for queer people and people with a disability. They reviewed care avoidance behaviours, lateral violence and provided advice on how best to thrive in a heteronormative and ableist world.
