Telling little lies - talkback

It’s something every one of us does, and probably several times a day. But few of us would admit it  ...and this shameful act?  Is Lying.

Apparently we lie anywhere from once to 200 times a day, depending on which statistics you believe.

Today’s talkback is on lying. White lies and dark lieswhoppers, playful fictions, and little untruths.

Lying in relationships and everyday working life: 'Thank you so much for those lovely hand knitted socks!' Lying to children: 'Of course the tooth fairy is real, see that fairy dust she left on the doorstep?' And the kinds of deceitful entanglements that have wide-ranging implications which  the legal system deals with on a daily basis.
