The ACCC is planning a series of online events as part of the National Consumer Congress 2021 - Virtual Lecture Series.

About the events

The series will consist of four short virtual events streamed weekly in March and April, beginning with the Ruby Hutchison Memorial Lecture on Monday 15 March 2021, World Consumer Rights Day.

The theme of the series will be How can we rebuild a safer, fairer and more sustainable Australia post pandemic? and each of the remaining sessions will focus on one aspect of that objective.

  • Session 1: Monday 15 March 2021 – Ruby Hutchison Memorial Lecture
    (presented by Julian Morrow)
  • Session 2: Monday 22 March 2021 – Building back safely
  • Session 3: Monday 29 March 2021 – Building back fairly
  • Session 4: Monday 12 April 2021 – Building back sustainably

The lecture series will bring together consumer advocates from across Australia to discuss current and future issues impacting consumers and how they might be managed or addressed.
