NSW 2023 State Election Community Forum

ACON, BLaQ Aboriginal Corporation, Equality Australia, the Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby, HALC, Hepatitis NSW, Positive Life NSW, SWOP, and Twenty10 invite you to our NSW 2023 State Election Community Forum.

These organisations have come together and distributed the NSW Election 2023: Candidates Questionnaire to major parties and candidates in the NSW State Election, inviting them to commit to the key pillars of current and future NSW HIV, BBV and STI Strategies and the NSW LGBTIQ+ Health Strategy, as well as to the future of community organisations in NSW, and law reform in a number of areas that disproportionately affect our communities.

This public forum is an opportunity for political parties and independent candidates from across the political spectrum to elaborate on their responses to the questionnaire, and their commitments to the health and human rights of our communities.

We will be inviting each representative to join our panel and respond to questions posed by our organisations, and by members from our communities, in a moderated Q&A session, hosted by Equality Australia CEO, Anna Brown.

The event is an opportunity for all of us to gain a better understanding of each party and independent's position on the issues that matter to us in the lead up to the 2023 NSW State Election, and we invite you to participate.

The forum will be held in person and livestreamed across NSW. This event will be AUSLAN interpreted, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
