ThincLab Loxton is a partnership between the University of Adelaide and the South Australian Government’s Department of Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA).

It is the first regional ThincLab supporting start-ups and businesses from Loxton and the broader Riverland region as part of a network of five incubators.

ThincLab Loxton is housed in PIRSA’s state of the art Loxton Research Centre and is a place where entrepreneurs, companies, agribusiness, associations and members of the community can develop innovations and business models with a view to rapid acceleration to meet market needs.  It will provide a valuable asset for the stimulation of entrepreneurial thinking and high impact innovation in this region.

ThincLab Loxton is part of PIRSA’s AgTech Program aimed at enhancing South Australia’s agricultural productivity, profitability and sustainability.

ThincLab Loxton Programs

ThincLab Loxton is an integral part of the ThincLab Network, and members will enjoy the privileges and benefits of being part of this network.

ThincLab Loxton will offer a number of programs to support start-ups and businesses at different stages of growth and needs including:

 

  • ThincSprint

    Those businesses at the start-up stage, have clear understanding of product-market fit, and are developing a minimum viable product, will be placed into the ThincSprint program.

  • ThincScale

    Those businesses that have customers, are generating revenue and looking to scale up will be placed into the ThincScale program.  This program includes further specialised workshops, delivered in Thinclab Loxton

    These businesses will receive 1:1 mentoring with ThincLab expert mentors, and will be matched with the most appropriate mentor for their sector and stage of growth. These businesses will also have access to quarterly development and planning days delivered at Loxton a key part of this Scale program, ensuring businesses develop actionable goals, which are reviewed in a 90 day cycle.

  • ThincGrowth

    Those businesses that have measurable growth, are demonstrating sustainable growth in revenue and cash flow, have constant income, a customer base and a strong team, will be placed into ThincGrowth.  Investment ready businesses are also placed in this group.

    Like the Scale group, these businesses will receive 1:1 mentoring with ThincLab expert mentors, and will be matched with the most appropriate mentor for their sector and stage of growth. These businesses will also have access to quarterly development and planning days delivered at Loxton a key part of this Growth program, ensuring businesses develop actionable goals, which are reviewed in a 90 day cycle.

    In addition, there will be advisory support provided.
