An investment fund established by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has encouraged some big family offices, including Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s Tattarang, to invest in a fund that will back female entrepreneurs in South-East Asia.

DFAT’s Emerging Markets Impact Investment Fund (EMIIF) has invested $5.6 million into the Southeast Asian Women’s Economic Empowerment Fund (Sweef), which is based in Singapore.
