About this scholarship

Each year the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences may offer a travel grant known as the Vis and Anjeli Nathan Travel Grants (Anthropology).

The Scholarship was established in 2001 by the parents of Anjeli Nathan to honour her memory following her death in a car accident the previous year while conducting fieldwork in South Africa.  Anjeli Nathan was a university medallist in Zoology in 1998 after completing an honours degree at the School of Botany and Zoology in the ANU College of Science.
