The Senior Manager, Student Residence (SMSR) is responsible for providing high-level management support and leadership to their relevant residential community. The SMSR runs their residence like their own business, with operational and financial control in line with delegations and the goals of the division. The SMSR is heavily invested in developing and maintaining a strong and cohesive team and will manage strategically important relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
The SMSR is part of a Senior Management team across residences that contribute to the planning and implementation of annual strategies and are assigned project related work when required.
This position is integral to the 24-hour, 7 day per week support and response service the Division provides to residents. Therefore, the Senior Manager, Student Residence may sometimes be contacted outside of standard business hours through an “on-call” roster to provide advice or to attend a residence with appropriate payment/time in lieu, as agreed.
